Recently, the Wechat Friendship Circle was screened by an article entitled Milk Sends Human Beings to the Tomb of Cancer. It's very tiring. Some time ago, rumors just tossed yoghurt and milk again.
Is it true or not that milk is carcinogenic? FP.jpg
Is IGF-1 in Milk Carcinogenic?
The theory that milk is carcinogenic has been widely circulated, one of which is that IGF-1 in milk can stimulate the active growth and reproduction of cancer cells and cause cancer.
In fact, the full name of IGF-1 is "insulin-like growth factor 1". It is a hormone-like protein secreted by organisms, and plays an important role in the control of human blood sugar, growth and development.
The body itself also contains IGF-1, which is produced by an adult at 10 million nanograms per day. The content of IGF-1 in milk on the market is about 2.45 ng/ml, which is much lower than that in human body.
It doesn't matter how much we produce ourselves. The IGF-1 in milk is much lower than that in our own production. What can we do?
Crucially, there is no evidence that IGF-1 is a carcinogenic factor, according to current scientific assessment.
Does casein in milk cause cancer?
It is also said that casein in milk can cause cancer.
This idea originated from a "rat experiment" by Colin Campbell, a professor at Cornell University in the United States. Rats were fed soy protein or casein (as the sole source of protein) while being given aflatoxin, a carcinogen. The results showed that rats fed casein had more liver cancer than those fed soy protein. There are many rats. In the process of spreading this experimental result, somehow the premise of aflatoxin, a major carcinogen, has been ignored.
Without carcinogens such as aflatoxin, neither casein nor soy protein would cause cancer in rats. Therefore, this animal experiment can not be used to analogize the carcinogenic effect of milk.
Protein in people's diet comes from many sources, so it is impossible to eat only one protein. Therefore, this experiment can neither lead to the conclusion that casein can cause cancer, nor can it be applied to human beings.
In fact, milk is rich in high-quality calcium, and easy to digest and absorb. For consumers, a glass of milk a day is good for meeting the human calcium needs. Wen/Chen Junshi

Carcinogenesis of milk? Watch out for Tao Hongjing and Li Shizhen turning their faces
Long before the rumor "Milk Sends Human Beings to the Tomb of Mankind" was transmitted crazily, Taiwan's fake doctor Lin Guangchang once said, "Milk is for cows, and Chinese never drink milk." That was in 2007, when this edition invited Professor Weng Weijian, a Chinese medicine health-preserving tycoon, to criticize it.
Records of Traditional Chinese Medicine More than 1000 Years ago
More than 1500 years ago, in the Liang Dynasty of the Southern and Northern Dynasties, Tao Hongjing, a physician, expounded the performance and concept of milk in his Collection of Materia Medica Classics.
Tao Hong inspected the impact of milk on people. Whether it is health care, health preservation, treatment or rehabilitation, he has made detailed records, such as milk is sweet, peaceful and suitable for anyone. If the body is hot and cold, men, women, old and young can drink it.
For more than a thousand years, our doctors have continuously improved their understanding and analysis of milk. Our ancestors discovered from clinical medicine that milk could assist in the treatment of diseases.
It can moisten the lungs and is suitable for people with pulmonary diseases, including tuberculosis, tuberculosis, cough and so on. Milk can also nourish the stomach, stomach dryness, stomach cold, stomach heat can drink milk. In addition, milk also has the function of detoxification and detoxification, which can be used for supplement and excretion. In ancient times, it was also used for first aid, such as eating poisonous plants or natural products, first with milk, gastric lavage, detoxification.
So now, in the meals provided by the hospital, almost all the patients are drinking milk, whether it is fluids, semi-fluids or normal meals.
A Story about Li Shimin
One story is that one day Li Shimin, Taizong of Tang Dynasty, suffered from diarrhea and stomach trouble. He invited many Tai doctors, but he could not cure it for a long time. Wei Zheng introduced a less famous man named Zhang Baozao, who had a unique prescription: fresh milk plus ginger-like traditional Chinese medicine, called Zhizhi. After Li Shimin had eaten it, diarrhea was all right.
Wei Zheng said, "Emperor, can't he be given any official rank for his great contribution?" Taizong said, "Give a five-character official." Wei Zheng was not satisfied, he didn't tell Zhang Baobao under pressure.
As a result, a month later, the emperor was sick again, so he invited Zhang Baozang to come, or boiled the milk, and it was all right again. Wei Zheng said that he had cured you again. Did the five tastes last time be a little less? Tang Taizong said, "Give three tastes." This story is in Compendium of Materia Medica.
A song about milk
In the Ming Dynasty, Li Shizhen, a great physician, also compiled a song for milk, called The Song of Milk Serving. He believed that milk was like wine used by immortals.
"Xianjia Wine, Xianjia Wine, two pots of Lusheng and one battle. Five elements brew true quintessence, which is everywhere in the world. If Dantian dries up, swallow the heavy building and rot. You can drink more than a liter in the morning and return to old age for a long time.
So now there are some rumors that drinking milk will turn into acidic constitution, and then osteoporosis, totally groundless. The argument that milk causes cancer is even more absurd.
Just last month, Professor Weng drove to Hexi to read this popular science article and let me do the same.
